Delta Dental
A Delta Dental dentist in Oak Lawn, minus the guesswork.
Delta Dental is one of the most common dental plans out there, often through an employer. We're in network with Delta Dental PPO at our Maple Ave office, and we check your benefits before any treatment so the numbers make sense before you sit down.

Is Soleil Dental in network with Delta Dental?
Yes, we're in network with Delta Dental PPO plans. In network means Delta and our office agree on fees ahead of time, which usually keeps your share of the bill lower than at an office outside the network.
Delta Dental isn't one single company. It's a national network of member companies, and your plan is run by one of them, depending on where your employer or plan is based. That's why your card might name a Delta Dental company from another state. That's normal. We simply check which company and which network your plan uses.
PPO, Premier or DeltaCare USA: which is on your card?
Delta offers a few kinds of plans, and the network name printed on your card matters more than the Delta logo.
Delta Dental PPO
The network we're in. You can see any dentist, and staying in the PPO network usually costs you the least.
Delta Dental Premier
A separate, broader Delta network. Plenty of cards list both PPO and Premier. If yours does, send us a photo and we'll confirm how your visit will be processed.
DeltaCare USA
An HMO-style plan where you choose one assigned dental office. If your card says DeltaCare USA, call us before booking so we can talk through your options honestly.
Not sure which one you have? The network is usually printed on the front of the card, and it's also listed in your Delta Dental online account under your plan details.
What do Delta Dental PPO plans typically cover?
Every employer designs its own version of a Delta plan, so these are common patterns, not guarantees:
- Exams, cleanings and routine x-rays are often covered at or near 100%, commonly twice per benefit year.
- Fillings and other basic care are often covered at a high percentage after a deductible.
- Crowns, bridges and dentures usually count as major care, often paid at around half.
- Many plans have an annual maximum somewhere between $1,000 and $2,000 per person, though yours may differ.
- Orthodontic coverage, when a plan includes it, usually has its own lifetime maximum and sometimes an age limit.
One detail catches people off guard: some plans pay for a tooth-colored filling on a back tooth at the price of a silver one, and you pay the difference. It's called an alternate benefit. If your plan works that way, we'll tell you before we start, not after.
What we need from you
- A clear photo of the front and back of your Delta Dental card.
- The name and date of birth of the person the plan is under, if that isn't you.
- Your employer's name, if the card doesn't show a group number.
- Any second dental plan, like a spouse's, so both can pay their part.
Text it to us before your visit and the front desk will look up your coverage. No card handy? The member ID from your Delta Dental online account usually works too.
How a visit works with Delta at our Oak Lawn office
Before
We confirm your plan is active and check your deductible, remaining maximum and frequency limits, so we know whether you're due for a cleaning or x-rays.
At the visit
The doctor shows you what they see on screen, in English or Spanish, and explains what's urgent and what can wait.
The estimate
If you need treatment, we go over what Delta is expected to pay and your likely share. For larger work, we can request a predetermination from Delta first.
After
We send the claim to Delta for you. Delta then sends an explanation of benefits, and your final balance is based on how the claim is processed.
Making Delta Dental benefits go further
Two preventive visits a year are the easiest win, and a lot of people skip the second one. If your plan resets in January, fall is a smart time to check what's left. And if a big treatment plan is on the table, splitting it across two benefit years can sometimes stretch your maximum further. We'll lay out the options when that applies and only suggest waiting when it's safe.
If your Delta plan doesn't cover something you want, like whitening, you can still spread the cost into monthly payments with Sunbit or Cherry.
